Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music from the US. Her debut singles came out in 2007 and a full-length album called Satisfied. In 2013, she debuted a second album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe, Assistant Village Manager of the Village in Riverside Illinois has more than fifteen years of experience within the public sector. She worked for nearly five years working in Iowa City as the Deputy City manager. She is currently the Assistant Village manager and has duties that encompass working with the Community Development and Building Department, coordinating grants and finishing special projects. Ashley is accountable for all day-to-day activities at Riverside Village and also for managing the strategy and vision of elected officials. Prior roles include the municipal planning, budgeting for communications, staff management, collective bargaining, with a focus on climate change initiatives. Because of her involvement with national organizations and work in communities with populations ranging Ashley has gained a better understanding of the intricate differences and similarities in how public organizations function. Ashley's lectures focus on current approaches to management and leadership in public sector organizations, based on her experience as a professional. She concentrates on making ethical and strategic decisions to take advantage of today's opportunities and challenges. She also helps manage intergovernmental relations.
